Housing Search Fundamentals and Online Housing Search Guide

When: Thursdays at 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (Session 1), and Thursdays 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Session 2).
Provided in person at SVILC office 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., and in  Spanish from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on the third             Thursday of the month.

Often the first step to finding and securing affordable housing is learning about the various types of housing the County can offer, what the eligibility requirements are, and how one can apply for open units or room. This information is empowering to someone who is overwhelmed with trying to understand and navigate through a barrage of often confusing systems that don’t always seem as coordinated as we try to make them.

Our workshop meets people with disabilities where they are, supports them in their decision to live independently, identifying financial goals, as well as potential barriers and opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to work 1-on-1 with an Intake Specialist to assess their current needs and create an Independent Living Plan.

Register in advance for this meeting here: Live Online: Housing Search Fundamentals (Session 1); Register in advance for the second session here: Live Online: How to Find Housing Online (Session 2). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting by phone or online.

Taller de Vivienda

Cuándo: tercer jueves de mes de 1:30 P.M. – 2:30 P.M.
